About me

Paging Dr. Gem
I try to pamper myself as often as possible because I mean come on, one can only take the stress of med school for so long.

Taking some time out to give myself facials, manis and pedis etc. are very crucial. It is a great relaxing tool especially after long, long days at school and especially after a long week filled with quizzes, exams, and projects.

I'm no expert by any means because sometimes my manicures look like crap but hey what can you do?

How amazing does that blue look on my feet though? Comment and let me know what you like to do to relax, and what colors you like.

Being in med school is very demanding (I know, I know some of our blogs and IG makes it look fun and easy).  I always try to at least look decent for school.

My school does not require us to dress business casual because I mean let's face it, we're on a tropical island whose temperatures are constantly in the 80s. Albeit we're not required to but it makes me feel better when I'm decently dressed for school.

I try to stay away from sweats and overly casual outfits (but sometimes laziness gets to me 🙈 )

One thing I always accessorize with are my Alex and Ani charm bracelets. If you follow me on IG, I already posted about my bracelets. My collection started when my beautiful friend Diamond gifted me with the Sacred Dove and Kings Crown for christmas and I fell in love

Fast forward 8 months later, I added 3 more to my collection. I got 2 from The Guardian Collection and 1 from the Zodiac Collection. They come with little cards that tells you what your bracelet means, what it's made of and what Alex and Ani stands for.

To me, Alex and Ani is more than a bracelet, it's the meaning and sentiment they hold. They are a constant reminder of the new beginnings I desperately needed when everything fell apart, the answers I'm always seeking, the peace I need within, the determination sensuality, and loyalty I possess as a Taurus, and the Queen that I am and always will be.
What cute are these!?!? What is your favorite thing to accessorize with?

One of the greatest gift to being in school in the Caribbean is the the opportunity to visit other Caribbean islands. In life, we meet and get to know people who expose us to many great things and I must say I have made some amazing local friends who make this experience the more exciting and worthwhile.

I got the chance to visit the world famous St. Bart's a few weeks ago and it definitely lived up to its name and fame.

It is about a 30 to 40 minute boat ride from St. Maarten. They have a public ferry boat that goes between these two islands every 20 minutes I believe they said but of course my friends and I had the privilege of going on a private (its nice to know people).

We first pulled up to the famous Colombier beach and hung out for a bit. Snorkeled, swam, and just goofed around until we got hungry.

We then had lunch at La Plage Restaurant at Tom Beach Hotel and O.M.G. it was amazing.
We had a blast, played music for the whole beach from the boat, and truly enjoyed ourselves.

Acting like we see paparazzi
It's safe to say our day trip to St. Barth was successful and beyond amazing! But seriously the overworked and overtired med student in me fell asleep and got the worse tan on my back smh!

We were definitely not feeling blue.
